“Aquaman” Screenwriter Confirms Return To Sequel1 week ago by Amber Le in Movie News
There is most certainly going to be a sequel for Aquaman, the box office hit generated over a billion dollars, surpassing The Dark Knight Rises’ international sales. Screenwriter, David Leslie Johnson has confirmed to pen the treatment for the next installment. Executive producer James Wan, alongside Peter Safran, has agreed to return with his own contract. The director’s chair still seems to be vacant unless Wan is willing to fill that position simultaneously.
Since Warner Bros. made bank off of the first movie, the entertainment company is currently expanding the brand with not only sequels but a spin off as well. Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald are writing for it and it’s well underway to begin production revolving around the Trench. If viewers remember, there was a point in the movie where the sea monsters tried to kill Arthur and Mera as they set out to retrieve the infamous trident. There hasn’t been any confirmation as to whether or not any of the stars of Aquaman will be returning to this particular film.
