Novelist Stephenie Meyer has sold over 100 million copies for her original novel Twilight, which grossed $3.3 billion at the global box office once it hit theaters. The novel is known for being one of the most romantic vampire series, putting a modern twist on the classic Romeo and Juliet story.
Lionsgate has officially announced it’s reviving of the popular movie Twilight as a live touring concert event coming this August. The Twilight in Concert world tour will start in Brazil followed by stops in Australia and the UK.
The live tour will feature a screening of the film with Carter Burwell’s musical score, which will be provided by a full orchestra instead of a soundtrack. The love triangle that Twilight readers have all become infatuated with will return as the original cast. The curious transfer student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), the mysteriously self-sacrificing Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) who is revealed as a vampire, and Jacob (Taylor Lautner), who turns out to be a werewolf.
Twilight in Concert’s tour is the latest in a series of live-to-film concerts based on Lionsgate properties. Lionsgate has previously done this with The Hunger Games In Concert and La La Land in Concert, with more than 125 performances in 25 countries to date.
