The video game adaptation, Rampage hit theaters Friday (April 13) directed by Brad Peyton, the action-packed film starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Naomi Harris as the lead roles. The film synopsis describes ” when three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, a primatologist and a geneticist team up to stop them from destroying Chicago.”
The film ruled the box office over the weekend, passing A Quiet Place, where “A family is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound.” The film premiered in theaters on April 8th directed by John Krasinski. The two films wrestled for the number one spot and according to Variety, Rampage reached the highest rank because Dwayne Johnson is at the forefront.
