This year marks the 30th anniversary of the classic horror film Child’s Play, first released back in November 1988. A film about a boy who receives a doll for his birthday, but discovers that it’s possessed by the soul of a serial killer.
In celebration, Don Mancini, the creator and writer of the evil doll Chucky, will go on to create a television series out of the films in continuation. Mancini tells Bloody Disgusting that series will be “dark, darker than ever before. It’s going to be very creepy.”
This will be a continuation of the film franchise which has seven films in total. The TV series is planning to have eight, hour-long episodes.
