Colin Kaepernick Trademarks His Face2 months ago by Amber Le in TV News
Colin Kaepernick took a knee in the previous years of 2016 and hasn’t played a single NFL game since then. The league damn sure didn’t stop his bag because he’s collecting plenty as he now trademarks a black and white image of his face and full Afro.
Kaep filed for the motion last Friday and appeared on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on October 10th, Wednesday. The document states that his image can be used on shampoos, hairspray, jewelry and lampshades. It also can be used with “providing classes, workshops, seminars and camps in the field of self-empowerment and awareness to properly interact with law enforcement” as well as in association with “production of television shows and films.”
He’s been signed with Nike since the year 2011 and just when it seemed like everyone gave up on him, Nike did not. The athletic apparel line assisted with lifting Kaep up with a powerful campaign which featured the black and white image of him with the text:
“Believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything.”
