The Toronto Raptors has honored Canadian megastar Drake with the opportunity to re-title the teams training facility. It was announced Thursday (March 14th) that the Toronto basketball team has praised the rapper for all his contributions to the city and the Raptor enterprise.
According to the CEO of the Raptors team (Mesai Ujiri), Drake is the “King of Toronto” when he announced the collaboration with OVO last year. This will be a great edition to Drakes success story, as he stated this has always been his dream as a teenager.
Here’s what Drake had to say about his partnership with the Toronto Raptors (via Instagram):
“Introducing the OVO Athletic Centre, the official training facility for the Toronto Raptors. 🇨🇦 just wanted to add that I am so proud of my brothers and so proud to be from this city I swear this one feels like a high school dream and it’s a blessing to be able to raise up the levels and make the human mind stretch when it comes to thinking about what is possible in your lifetime!! Much love to everyone involved.”

Drake has been a loyal brand ambassador for his hometown team since 2013. Also, with the launch of his OVO brand in 2012, Drake has been able to open many doors for his partnership with the team to hype the launch of the OVO Athletic Centre. You can catch Drake at majority of the Toronto Raptors games, which has left the team no choice, but to commend him with his very own locker at the Scotiabank Arena.
