Geoffrey Owens To Appear In “The Haves and the Have Nots” For 10 Episodes2 months ago by Amber Le in TV News
Despite being shamed for his Trader’s Joe job, Geoffrey Owens is winning. When the picture of him went viral, many reached out and offered a helping hand to the actor. With a $25K donation from Nicki Minaj and a job offer from Tyler Perry, Owens is beyond grateful.
Perry stuck to his word and landed Owens 10 episodes on his hit show The Haves and the Have Nots. He is flying to Atlanta next week and although there’s no further information regarding what role he will take on, we’re all happy to see a hard working man get what he deserves.
During a recent interview with Good Morning America, he expresses his empathy on people who are job shamed and hopes that eventually, that will be a thing of the past.
“I hope what doesn’t pass is this re-thinking about what it means to work. A re-evaluation of the idea that some jobs are better than others, because that’s actually not true… Every job is worthwhile and valuable and if we have kind of a re-thinking about that because of what’s happened to me, that would be great.”
