Gucci Mane’s Autobiography is Turning Into a Biopic1 year ago by Amber Le in Movie News
Paramount Pictures and Imagine Entertainment just picked up Gucci Mane’s autobiography and made it their new project. Atlanta rapper, born Radric Davis wrote his autobiography while serving his sentence:
It took me going to prison to be able to sit down, write and reflect on my life. I always knew that I was an amazing person, and I’m saying this as humbly as I can, but a lot of artists are super talented, but they’re not fascinating. That’s the whole thing with me. I’m like a mystique. I’m like an enigma. People are fascinated with me. That’s why I wrote the book. I want people to know the reason why people are fascinated with me. I have led a life doing things that most people have never done. That’s what separates and makes me different, and I embrace it,” Mane said in 2017 to Vulture.
The memoir talks about the rapper’s struggles back in Alabama and allows you to witness how he made history as one of the most legendary trap artists alongside T.I. and Young Jeezy. From his violent street upbringing, to his drug deals and addictions and finally, his climb to fame, Mane takes you with him as he relives his own story in pen and paper.
