‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Predicted to have Mediocre Results in Comparison to Previous Film’s Opening10 months ago by JoiAshanti Watkis in Movie News, REVIEWS, FILMS
After a long absence of Jurassic films, Jurassic World premiered in the summer of 2016 with a such a successful feedback that they thought they could do it again two years later. Unfortunately, based on prerelease tracking, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom won’t be as successful. The first of the two films made $208.8 million during their opening weekend. Box office predictions claim a a range below $150 million. The success of Jurassic World is similar to that of Star Wars:Force Awakens – both came out after a long hiatus from their specific franchises.
The release of the Jurassic World movie this specific weekend is also a factor as to why it may not be successful. The recent release of the long awaited Incredible’s 2 is already skyrocketing with success. Once again, it is possible that a large amount of time between franchise productions is one of the keys to success.
The storyline of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom follows stars Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howards as the main characters who go to Isla Nublar in hopes of saving the dinosaurs after a volcano explosion. To their surprise, their is more going happening on the island that they anticipated.
Predictions can be wrong. Anyone who is a fan of the dinosaur movies, check out the trailer below, and then go see it in theaters this weekend.
