Keven Feige has confirmed that there will be LGBTQ characters in the future Marvel Cinematic Universe. Including both new characters and characters, we already know.
Hollywood has not been opening up to the gay community through scenes in movies, the recent culprit was Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, where a deleted scene revealed a character was gay. Marvel deleted a scene from Thor: Ragnarok that would have Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie confirm that she is bisexual.
Speaking to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige during interviews The Playlist questioned hi, about the future of the LGBTQ community.
When are we getting a Gay, Bi, LGBTQ, out character in the MCU? Is it even in the works?
Kevin Feige: Yes.
The Playlist: That’s the answer?
Kevin Feige: Yeah, that’s the answer.
The Playlist: It’s not someone we’ve seen yet, I’m guessing?
Kevin Feige: Both.
The Playlist: Both?
Kevin Feige: Both ones you’ve seen and ones you haven’t seen.
