Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again may not have been top of the box office this past weekend, but it’s still makes us have a song in our hearts. It has the same ABBA songs we all know and love. From play to film, this movie has won our hearts ever since the first adaptation.
The Universal musical launched with $76.4 million globally, and $43.4 million overseas. If it’s anything like the previous movie, fans should have their hopes up for a promising musical movie. This movie has mostly female audiences and skewed younger than the original.
Mamma Mia! launched in 2008, a decade before it’s sequel, with $27 million. The adaptation of the play musical, it made an impressive $465 million internationally and $609 million worldwide.
