Meek Mill May Be Released On Monday2 weeks ago by Amber Le in Trending
Hip hop has been coming to Meek Mill’s defense since day one when we all heard he was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for violating probation. At the mercy of Judge Genece Brinkley, he was denied bail about a week ago but this week, it seems that may change.
After Robert Kraft paid a visit to the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper, rumors soon started circulating via social media that Meek is expected to be released from jail on Monday, April 16, after his court hearing. The Patriots owner made a a public outcry for the criminal justice system to please get it together and that he had no reason to be behind bars.
“It’s really bad. I know some of our players in the NFL have talked about this. I see it firsthand. It’s just wrong. We have to find a way to correct it and also help the community help themselves. It’s just sad. This guy is a great guy. Shouldn’t be here. and then think of all the taxpayers here paying for people like this to be in jail and not out being productive.”
Ajeenah Amir, spokesperson of the Mayor’s office, went onto agree with Kraft,
“The mayor believes that Robert would better serve the community outside of prison, and that his case makes clear and urgent the desperate need to continue working with our partners to reform our criminal justice system.”
Let’s cross our fingers that justice will finally prevail and Meek will be released next week. #FREEMEEK #JUSTICEFORMEEK
