Meek Mill Performs for the First Time Since His Release at Rolling Loud4 months ago by Amber Le in Trending
Since Meek Mill has been released from prison, his mission statement changed. Instead of hopping into the booth and releasing his anger or popping bottles in the club celebrating his freedom, he brushed that all to the side with a message that is bigger than music itself, the need to reform the criminal justice system so that his situation does not happen to anyone else. He’s been doing interviews left and right with legendary interviewees such as Lester Holt and Angie Martinez. But this weekend, Mill let loose a little bit for the first time since his release and performed at Rolling Loud in Miami.
The crowd went crazy as he started off his 20 minute set with “Dreams & Nightmares,” sending goosebumps down everyone’s spine with fans shouting along to every word. Within his set, he performed hit songs such as “On the Regular,” “Issues,” and “We Ball.” Meek expressed his gratitutde to his fans,
“It feels good to be back and free in front of the motherfucking people. Thank you to everybody that supported me. They tried to take my freedom. They tried to crush my dreams. But now we’re in Miami glowing the f*** up. Let’s get it!”
