Michael B. Jordan Is Directing Bacardi Ad3 months ago by Amber Le in TV News
Michael B. Jordan isn’t ready to stop his takeover just yet. The Killmonger actor is now sitting in the director’s chair as he creates a visual for Bacardi. His middle initial, B stands for Bakari which sounds very similr to the infamous rum.
The concept of the ad goes as follows. It’s creative foundation comes from the myth of the “angel’s share.” A lost amount of the rum, that went missing during the aging process, is in the angels’ possession. Roberto Ramirez Verde, the VP of Bacardi, loved the idea of working with Jordan. The company met with him in Miami a couple of years back.
“Bacardi is a family owned rum brand and it was a natural fit to work with Michael – a man who values family above all else and has a true affinity for rum. Since he’s worked both behind and in front of the camera, he brought an added level of professionalism and expertise.”
