A new trailer has been released for Octopath Traveler, which reveals the final playable characters in, Cyrus the Scholar and Ophilia the Cleric, as well as details on how Talents and character switching will work in the game.
Cyrus he Scholar is traveling the world in search of a lost tome, which holds the secrets to ancient mysteries, and he blazes his own path with his Path Action, Scrutinize. Ophilia the Cleric, is a servant of the Order of the Sacred Flame. Setting off on a pilgrimage, Ophilia aims to restore light to the realm, and she will do it with the aid of her Path Action, Guide.
While players will begin the game with a single protagonist, the others can be discovered while exploring the world, and it is possible to select any of the recruited characters’ stories to play through. Players will be able to form a party of four travelers to do battle, but once the party meets a certain person in their travels, players will be able to change their party by visiting the tavern in any town.
Octopath Traveler will be released for Nintendo Switch on July 13, and a demo is currently available on the Nintendo eShop.
