Philadephia Mayor Visits Meek Mill in Prison and Brings Company8 months ago by Edward Antonelli in Trending
Philadelphia’s Mayor Jim Keeney took an hour out of his schedule to visit rapper Meek Mill who is serving a controversial 2 to 4 years for a prohibition violation.
The mayor was joined by NBA 76ers owner Michael Rubin who has visited on multiple occasions. Even recently bringing along Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
When commenting on Meek Mills’ sentence, the Mayor notes that this case “makes clear and urgent the desperate need to continue working with our partners to reform our criminal justice system.”
Meek Mill has seen plenty of support from Philadelphia. NBA players Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons also took the time to visit before they start their run in the NBA playoffs.
