PUBG Creator Says He Wants To Support The Game For 20 Years3 months ago by Rod McCullough in Games
The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds creator Brendan Greene stated at the BAFTA Awards that he wants to support the battle royale game for the next 20 years. This is an interesting sentiment considering the battle that PUBG is currently in with Fortnite. The winner of that battle will be the one whose content will last the longest but there is no guarantee that the battle royale genre will last as a whole.
At the BAFTA awards Greene had said “We want to do this for the next 20 years. We really want to build out a platform for game modes and possible esports. We’re committed to supporting this game for a long time.” This is an interesting quote considering the amount of work the dev team is currently doing to support the game. They have already announced an 8×8 map and 4×4 savage map in the coming month. They have also stated that War Mode will return as an event mode in the future.
