R. Kelly’s Manager Threatened Parents of Joycelyn Savage2 weeks ago by Amber Le in Trending
Surviving R. Kelly has sparked major controversy in the music industry. Artists and fans are divided with their own opinion. While many are completely outraged by the monstrosity of the singer, there’s a few despicable others who are blaming the victims rather than the perpetrator. R. Kelly claimed that he has yet to watch the special and that he doesn’t know half of the women who appeared to speak on his name and threatened to expose the survivors with his own website titled Surviving Lies. In addition, his manager, Don Russell is threatening the parents of Joycelyn Savage.
Reported by The Blast, Timothy Savage called police to his Georgia residence on January 3 just before 6 A.M. and claimed he was receiving threats by a man named Don Russell, who is the manager of R. Kelly. In the police report, Russell texted Timothy Savage, it would “be best for him and his family if the documentary does not air.”
Savage then put the phone on speaker with law enforcement present while he was on a call with Russell. After being accused of providing false evidence to the producers of the documentary series, Savage was also met with a warning that Russell will reveal information about him as a retort.
The website, Surviving Lies became a Facebook fan page after R. Kelly minions got a hold of the information. They were posting up inappropriate material in an attempt to “discredit” the survivors and “expose” them. The social media network swooped right in and shut it down. There will be no victim shaming on their watch.
