A TV reboot of an old classic 90’s show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is in development at 20th Century Fox Television.
Joss Whedon, original series creator, is onboard to executive produce the new reboot, with writer, Monica Owusu-Breen, will write the script. The new series will see a black actress playing the role of Buffy who was original played by Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Gail Berman, Joe Earley, Fran Kazui, and Kaz Kazui will also be executive producers of the new rebooted series. There is no set network to air the series, but there will certainly be a bidding war, between networks, to fight for this reboot.
The actually cast hasn’t been revealed yet, but in the process now auditioning actors for the roles in the hit show. This show was based on the 1992 film with the same name, so we are all hoping it will have similar story lines to the original TV series.
