Seahawks Uninvited Kaepernick To Practice After Talks of Kneeling Protest2 weeks ago by Edward Antonelli in Trending
The NFL Seattle Seahawks were interested in quarterback Colin Kaepernick potentially being Russell Wilson‘s back-up for the upcoming season. With the draft coming up and teams opening the doors for practices, a deal between the controversial quarterback and the Seahawks went south.
The Seahawks wanted in writing to guarantee that Kaepernick would stand for every national anthem but he did not agree with the stipulation– he was of course the first player ever to start the trending protest.
Although many players have taken a knee during the national anthem, Kaepernick has suffered the most by not being signed to a team since his departure with the San Fransisco 49ers. Many believe that teams are unfairly targeting the outspoken athletes and wish he could make a return to the league in the near future.
While it is also possible that the practice was postponed other sources are saying, it is more likely that the issue of kneeling is why Kaepernick most likely won’t be in a Seahawks jersey this year.
