If you’re a comicbook-head, you obviously know Spider-Man is meant to be family friendly, as majority of all superhero movies are. Venom will be no different. According to Variety, fans believed that the dark, creepy monster would be Marvel’s first rated R movie but Sony thinks differently. The entertainment company is pushing for Venom to stay rated PG-13 along.
The movie stars Jared Leto as Morbius, the vampire villian from the comics. The production also called upon Richard Wenk to write up a script based on Kraven the Hunter along with characters such as Silk, Jackpot and Nightwatch for features. The whole reason behind the demand to stay PG-13 is so the characters can intermingle and the crossover in films would be a much smoother process.
