Remember back in 1995 when Spike Lee released a film called Tales From The Hood? It was directed by Rusty Cundieff and paved the way of horror films such as Get Out. The film used the horror aspects of Hollywood to raise awareness towards racial and social issues. It revolved around Mr. Simms, a mortuary owner, who has to deal with 3 drug dealing gang bangers in his territory.
A trailer for Tales From The Hood 2 has been released on July 10th and the duo has reunited for a sequel to their first horror project. Keith David stars as Mr. Simms and will be released in anthology sequence. The movie will also star Bryan Batt, Lou Beatty Jr., Martin Bradford, Alexandria DeBerry, Kendric Cross, and Bill Martin Williams. It will be on Blu-ray, DVD and all streaming platforms in October.
