T’Challa Was A Special Guest on SNL’s “Black Jeopardy” And It Was Hilarious11 months ago by Amber Le in TV News, Heroes
Saturday Night Live was quite an epic episode. Despite history being made with Chadwick Boseman and Cardi B’s special guest appearances, the female rapper revealed she was pregnant during her performance of “Be Careful.” She broke the internet with her baby bump, but that’s not the only thing breaking the internet.
SNL did a special “Black Jeopardy” starring Kenan Thompason as the host, Darnell Hayes, with comedians Leslie Jones and Chris Redd as contestants Shanice and Rashad. The third guest was none other than our beloved King of Wakanda, Chadwick Boseman remained in Black Panther character as he competes. The king’s morals and values definitely shine through with each answer, while also being hilariously funny because his responses were so out of the norm of America.
The categories consisted of Fid’na, Girl Bye, I Ain’t Got it, and White People. The prizes included uesta hold margarin, well done steaks, and Sprite.
To start off the obnoxiously funny game show, one of the questions Hayes asked was, “This is the reason your cable bill is in your grandmama’s name…” to which Black Panther responded, “What is, to honor her as the foundation of the family.” The camera quickly cut to the host and his confused expressions.
After getting some questions wrong, the king quickly caught on and boldly selected the white people category for 400. The question was, “Your friend Karen brings her potato salad to your cookout.” The response T’Challa gives is absolutely hilarious.
