‘The Sandlot’ Cast Reunites For 25 Year Anniversary8 months ago by Edward Antonelli in Movie News
It appears 2018 being the year for all things nostalgia continues. On the Today Show this morning, the cast for the 1993 classic The Sandlot all meet up to speak on how the film has made an impact on their lives.
The film is about the new kid on the block who makes a group of new friends because of the game of baseball. Quotes from the movie are still referenced to this day and NBA player Kevin Durant is such a fan, his online profile pic is of the character Ham.
The cast who appeared in the interview and took the time to play a friendly game afterwards was Marty York (Alan ‘Yeah Yeah’ McClennan), Tom Guiry (Scotty Smalls), Brandon Quintin Adams (Kenny DeNunez), Shane Obedzinski (Timmy Timmons), Victor DiMattia (Tommy Repeat), Chauncey Leopardi (Michael ‘Squints’ Palledorous), Patrick Renna (Hamilton ‘Ham’ Porter) and the film’s director David Mickey Evans.
When asked why the film has stayed a classic after all this time, Evans noted, “…the film was made with the same amount of love that people have for it and it was the greatest summer of our lives.”
