Vin Diesel to Star in Comic Book Movie ‘Bloodshot’3 months ago by Edward Antonelli in Movie News
Bloodshot is a comic book which premiered in 1992 by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton. It is the story of a former solider who is killed but brought back to life with technological upgrades. This allows him to heal from injuries, shape objects, and interact with other technology– the perfect solider.
Vin Diesel will play Bloodshot which is Sony’s adaption of the Valiant Entertainment comic. Diesel will be working alongside a familiar face. He has worked with producer Neal Moritz on The Fast and The Furious franchise and the first xXx film. Moritz has also worked on films such as 21 Jump Street, I am Legend, and The Green Hornet.
Dave Wilson is set to direct the film and is making his feature film debut. Although he has been a long time contributor of Tim Miller on the set of Deadpool. Wilson has also directed cinematic for video games which include Halo 2, Mass Effect 2, and BioShock Infinite.
Besides Bloodshot, Sony also hopes to join the comic movie craze and create another comic book film starring Harbinger. They will then join the two characters in a ‘Harbinger War’ feature film but that has not yet been confirmed.
