Warners Brothers Wants to Build Tramway to Hollywood Sign1 month ago by Adrianna Codispoti in Movie News
Yesterday, Warner Brothers announced that they would like to build a tram that would take tourists from their studio in Burbank up to the Hollywood Sign.
For those not familiar with the iconic landmark, right now the only way to get up close to the sign is a hike up the large hill which is not feasible for everyone.
The project is estimated to cost around $100 million and Warner Brothers plans to cover all the costs and isn’t planning on relying on taxpayers to fund the construction.
This could be a beneficial project for the studio as it is assumed since they are the ones building and running the tram, they would be the ones benefiting financially from it as well.
Sure, you can see the Hollywood Sign from many points in Southern California but this would allow tourists an easy and efficient way to see the popular destination up close and personal.
