Lucy Liu has linked up with Marc Cherry for his upcoming comedy drama series titled Why Women Kill. The Emmy-award nominated actress is set to take on the role of an 80’s socialite by the name of Simone who is classy and content.
Her character description, reported by ComingSoon.net, reads:
“Simone is the picture of urbane confidence, moving through the world as if it were a delightful movie starring herself, smugly superior, a woman for whom appearances mean everything, she thrives on shopping and throwing parties, seemingly happily married to her indulgent husband, Karl, who thinks she is simply fabulous. However, despite nagging premonitions, Simone is devastated, her world upended, when she learns that Karl has been cheating on her.”
Lui’s career started taking off after starring alongside Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore in Charlie’s Angels. She’s starred in a few TV shows including Elementary. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
