The late West coast rapper/philanthropist Nipsey Hussle’s estate is being slammed with a lawsuit by American Express. According to The Blast, the artist’s estate owes nearly $50K in unpaid credit. The well known credit card company is now taking his estate to court. American Express made the following statement, “The Decedent purchased goods and/or services in the amount of $46,930.67.” We here at The Feature Presentation are hoping that this issue can be resolved soon.
This is the second lawsuit that Nipsey’s estate has been faced with over unpaid debt. The Paramount Recording Group has a lawsuit against the artist after his passing for over $32K. The company claimed that the debt was owed after a judgement made back in 2012 after they won a legal battle against him. The company also dropped a lawsuit recently against his estate.
Currently, there is no administrator in place for the rapper’s estate. Nipsey’s brother Blacc Sam has requested to be in control of his estate. They were business partners when they were running The Marathon Clothing Store. Sam wants to be the administrator for Nip’s estate so he can make decisions on behalf of his brother for any incoming business opportunities.
