Stevie Wonder announced during a concert in London this past Saturday night that he will be undergoing a Kidney Transplant this fall. He broke the news after he performed his hit single “Superstition,” according to the BBC.
“I’m all good, I’m all good, all good, I have a donor and it’s all good,” he said, BBC reported. “I want you to know, I came here to give you my love and thank you for your love. I love you and God bless you.”
The Detroit Free Press reported last Wednesday that Wonder was fighting “a serious but manageable health issue”.
“He’s got some health challenges, but he doesn’t want a big PR thing out of this,” musician Joan Belgrave, a longtime friend of Wonder, told the Free Press.
Wonder plans to perform three more concerts and then will take a break before his surgery in September the New York Post reported. We here at The Feature Presentation hopes that he has a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
