Skilla Baby’s upcoming album, The Price of Fame, is set to be narrated by 50 Cent. According to TMZ, the first listening session for the project took place at the Interscope offices in Santa Monica. During the event, 50 and Geffen Records executive Aaron “Dash” Sherrod revealed the news. Several hip-hop heavyweights were also in attendance, including Hitmaka, Gillie & Wallo, Bongo By The Way, Go Grizz, LaRance Dopson and Mars from 1500 Or Nothin’, ThirdEyeRaz, and DJ Toomp.
Skilla and 50 Cent have grown close in recent months, with 50 taking on more of a mentor role. The two artists also share a striking similarity in their stories: Skilla was shot in May 2025, while 50 famously survived being shot nine times in May 2000.
After recovering, Skilla addressed the incident in a freestyle. Since then, he’s been quietly working on a major comeback. With such a stacked lineup of collaborators, fans are eager to hear what The Price of Fame has in store.
There’s no official release date yet, but the early buzz from the listening session is promising. Skilla Baby has consistently dropped music every year since 2019, so hopefully, fans won’t have to wait too long.
