There is no denying the fact that Wu-Tang is here forever! The members of the timeless hip hop group formed in Staten Island, NY are showing no signs of slowing down. Last night it was revealed on Instagram and Twitter that two of Wu-Tang’s members, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah will be going round for round in the upcoming Verzuz battle.
Verzuz TV posted on their official Instagram page a picture of the two artist announcing the battle with the caption, “Let’s take it back to the streets!! @Raekwon vs @Realghostfacekillah … wu vs wu.” The showdown is taking place on Saturday, March 20 at 5pm PT/8pm ET live on @verzuztv or on the Triller app. Check out the announcement here.
This comes a day after Swizz Beatz and Timbaland announce that they sold their Verzuz platform to the Triller network. The Triller app, which is an alternative to Tik Tok now owns Verzuz. Swizz and Timbaland remain shareholders along with the 43 artists that have already battled on Verzuz to date.
With a new way to tune in to Verzuz, who do you think will win this battle on March 20th? Raekwon and Ghostface have so many hits collectively and separately.
