Counts show Once Apon a Time in Hollywood – Quentin Tarantino and The Irishman – Martin Scorsese leading the nominations. Not much of a surprise since the two extraordinarily talented directors have been in Award talks since they’ve premiered and the Cannes Film Festival and New York Film Festival. It’s exciting to see both established talents and new talents take the same nominee titles deservingly as this year of watching has been impressive.
The BFCA comprises more than 300 film critics from television, radio, and online media to determine nominations. Tay Diggs (Greys Anatomy, Bow Stella got her groove back, The Best Man Holdiay) is hosting the 2020 ceremony on January 12 at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California.
P.S. Whatever we do, let’s remember Adam Sandler to avoid a bad movie made on purpose in 2020-2021. Thanks!
