Birmingham, Alabama, has pushed its community to never give up on their dreams without a fight. It has birthed some of the most hard-working rappers like YBN Nahmir and Daniel Payne, to name a few. Now, three advancing rappers are only proving that this statement is factual: Big Yavo, Luh Soldier, and Li Heat.
With only a year of rapping expertise under their belt, Big Yavo, Luh Soldier, and Li Heat have immersed in much success. Rapping, for them, was not rocket science, so they decided to put their skill to the test. As a result, the three saw their music do numbers, which eventually caught everyone’s attention, including their enemies.
Luckily, the three knew what to do with these situations, which was to level up continuously. In turn, they’ve gotten even more traction. In particular, Luh Soldier has worked with artists like Young Dolph on his “What Happen (Remix).” Li Heat, on the other hand, has something in the works with other A-List artists, but further details will unveil itself soon. As for Big Yavo, he’s teamed up with TLE Cinco and TLE Petty on his song, “41 Loads.”
Needless to say, the trio grew up with one quote in mind, “If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.” Their songs often focus on their upbringing, life lessons, and their overall accomplishments. Next weekend, Big Yavo and Luh Soldier are releasing a collab-project called Gorilla Warfare, but to give it a kick-start, the two have decided to go bar-for-bar with Li Heat on their newest single, “Miami Heat.”
“Miami Heat,” is an aggressive hip-hop offering that carries an ostinato bass, sporadic hi-hats, spacey synths, and brassy rhymes. The lyrics at hand speak on always having on-site protection, a.k.a the tool, their charm with the ladies, staying loyal to the gang, and the actions they’ll proceed with if someone tries being slick out the mouth. Big Yavo and Luh Soldier are the only artists on the song’s hook.
Luh Soldier spits hard one-liners like, “Speaking on the label, gon have killers aiming for your necks.” He also raps, “I stay with five racks in the front, plus five in the back/I’m smoking on strong, this an asthma attack/These niggas green like turtle, trap going crazy this bitch going hurdles.”
Likewise, Big Yavo and Li Heat match his energy, showcasing self-assurance and love for their city. “Pull on they block, make a fuck nigga vacant/Straight Vroom, shit sound like a raceway,” Big Yavo spits. Li Heat takes the “honesty is the best policy” route by rapping, “She diss me, fuck she missed her blessing.”
The music video that assists “Miami Heat” sees the rappers kicking back on what appears to be a yacht. Ultimately, we see the triad hanging out with beautiful women and close friends, diving into the water, and enjoying all that life has to offer.
