Prime Video is officially raising the sails on The Bluff. A new teaser for the upcoming action-adventure swashbuckler starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban has dropped. In doing so, it offers a pulse-quickening glimpse at the film’s high-stakes world while confirming when audiences can expect the full trailer.
Clocking in at just 15 seconds, the teaser wastes no time igniting intrigue. Intercut with bold title cards declaring, “In three days, Bloody Mary Strikes,” the footage flashes images of boats charging toward a mysterious island, explosive combat sequences, and a tense confrontation between Chopra and Urban’s characters. Urban’s ominous line—“Did you miss me, darling?” lands as both a taunt and a promise of the conflict to come. The full trailer is set to arrive January 14th, 2026, with the film premiering exclusively on Prime Video on February 25th, 2026.
Early reception suggests strong interest. As of writing, within the last 24 hours the teaser has already racked up over 117,000 views and more than 1,500 likes, arriving just days after Prime Video shared first-look images featuring Chopra, Urban, and Temuera Morrison. Together, the visuals paint the picture of a rugged, cinematic adventure steeped in danger, history, and revenge.
The Bluff centers on Ercell Borden (Chopra), a Caribbean woman and former pirate forced to confront her shadowy past when Buccaneers invade the island she now calls home. What begins as survival quickly escalates into a fight to protect her family and reclaim her power. The project also carries an interesting development history: Zoe Saldaña, who now serves as an executive producer, was originally attached to star when the film was first announced in 2021. Netflix initially held distribution rights before the project ultimately found its home at Amazon MGM Studios.
The film is directed by Frank E. Flowers, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Ballarini. Chopra also serves as a producer alongside the Russo Brothers, Angelo Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco, Cisely, and Mariel Saldaña. Behind the camera, cinematographer Greg Baldi brings the sweeping visuals to life, while veteran composer Henry Jackman scores the film, signaling an epic sonic backdrop to match its adventurous scale.
Joining Chopra, Urban, and Morrison is an amazing ensemble cast that includes Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, David Field, Zack Morris, Pacharo Mzembe, and Vedanten Naidoo, further rounding out the film’s dynamic world.
With its blend of piracy, action, and character-driven stakes, The Bluff is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s most ambitious original films of 2026. And if this brief teaser is any indication, the full trailer will arrive with even more firepower when it drops later this month.
