DC Studios Confirms New ‘Wonder Woman’ Movie Is In Development

DC Studios has confirmed that a brand-new Wonder Woman movie is officially in the works. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, James Gunn revealed that the script for the next Wonder Woman is being created. As of right now, there’s no cast or director for the action-packed flick.
“We’re working on Wonder Woman. It’s being written right now,” Gunn shared.

Aside from the film, HBO Max is creating a prequel series called Paradise Lost. The show will explore Themyscira’s origins in a Game of Thrones style.
Gal Gadot has played the role of Diana Prince in several films, starting with Batman v Superman in 2016 and continuing through Wonder Woman (2017), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), and a series of appearances in Justice League, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and The Flash.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav recently listed Superwoman alongside Superman, Batman, and Supergirl as foundational characters. Gunn mirrored this sentiment, saying “Those four characters are incredibly important to us. Right now, I feel great about where two of them are, and we’re working on the others.”
DCU has a lot more projects in store to release, including Superman, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Clayface, Dynamic Duo, Creature Commandos, Lantern, and the second season of Peacemaker.
