Disney Drops Trailer For ‘Zootopia 2’

Disney has released the first trailer for Zootopia 2, the long-awaited sequel to the hit 2016 animated movie. The original Zootopia, which starred Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy Hopps and Jason Bateman as Nick Wilde, was a huge success, earning over $1 billion worldwide. Now, nearly a decade later, Judy and Nick are back for a brand-new adventure hitting theaters this November.

The trailer shows Judy and Nick teaming up again for a new case. This time, they go undercover to investigate a mysterious snake named Gary, voiced by Ke Huy Quan. Gary’s arrival causes chaos in the city of Zootopia, and the duo must explore strange new areas to solve the mystery.

According to Disney, Judy and Nick’s partnership will be tested like never before as they dive deeper into the case.

“In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2, detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down,” the logline reads. “To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.”

Quinta Brunson joins the cast as Dr. Fuzzby, a quirky quokka therapist helping Judy and Nick work through their teamwork issues, Shakira returns as the superstar Gazelle, Fortune Feimster voices Nibbles, a beaver character.

Zootopia 2 is directed by Jared Bush, co-directed by Byron Howard, and produced by Yvett Merino.

The movie will be released in theaters on November 26, 2025. In the meantime, fans can stream the original Zootopia and the Zootopia+ series on Disney+.
