The release of The New Mutants, Mulan and Antlers has been postponed everywhere. Release dates for these titles remain to be announced with news of the viruses settling. Other precautionary measures taken by the company included closing their California theme parks as ordered by Governor Gavin Newsom and pausing the productions for coming live-actions.
The films seeing this postponed production protocol list:
- The Little Mermaid
- Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings
- Home Alone
- The Last Duel
- Nightmare Alley
- Peter Pan & Wendy
- Shrunk
Disney states the care for cast and crew being taken even though there are no confirmed cases of the virus amongst their team.
“While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on our productions, after considering the current environment and the best interests of our cast and crew, we have made the decision to pause production on some of our live-action films for a short time,” Disney said in a statement.
“We will continue to assess the situation and restart as soon as feasible.”
