Rotten Tomatoes has given Final Destination Bloodlines a high score ahead of its release. Because the platform has given the horror film a 92% rating, it’s been deemed the highest-scoring film in the entire franchise. Although only 48 reviews have come in, the film seems to be a massive hit, with critics mainly applauding it.
Variety’s Todd Gilchrist said the movie was a “satisfying sendoff” to the late Tony Todd’s character.
ComingSoon’s Jonathan Sim also loved the film, saying it still has life after six previous films. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter’s Fran Scheck also praised it, stating its combination of CGI and practical effects works “seamlessly,” and that the film is filled with “maximum tension,” and is layered with humor.

The sixth installment to the Final Destination series stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Rya Kihlstedt Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd.
“Plagued by a violent recurring nightmare, college student Stefanie heads home to track down the one person who might be able to break the cycle and save her family from the grisly demise that inevitably awaits them all,” the synopsis states.
Final Destination Bloodlines is directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein. The screenplay is penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, alongside Jon Watts, who helped to develop the story.
