This week HBO unveiled the official trailer for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts which sees the three stars of the iconic Harry Potter franchise reunite to relive the memories in a momentous one night special.
Based upon a series of books by author J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter franchise follows a young Daniel Radcliffe as the film’s titular star as he learns of magical powers he was born with and subsequently embarks on a journey to learn how to harness them. Eight films and nearly a quarter of a century since Rowling released the first novel, and Harry Potter is considered one of the most iconic franchises in the history of film. While it would be almost impossible to completely reboot the franchise quite yet, fans of the incredible franchise are in for a treat with the latest HBO Max special set to release at the top of the year. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts sees Radcliffe sit down with his former co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to relive the many memorable experiences they had while working on the Harry Potter franchise, and this week HBO gave us our first taste of the reunion special. In the trailer for Return to Hogwarts, we see and hear the three aforementioned stars and many others reflect upon the importance of the Harry Potter franchise to their individual lives as well as the overall ethos of Hollywood in establishing such a franchise and paving the way for countless films to follow.
