Recently, Colombian reggaeton artist, J Balvin teamed up with Los Angeles-based designer, Ian Delucca, to create a set of fronts in honor of the 20th anniversary of Spongebob Squarepants.
To live up to the sitcom’s vibrant nature, Delucca made sure that this grill fused 14-karat yellow gold with artist, Louis De Guzman‘s design. According to HotNewHipHop, “the top and bottom grills come together to form Guzman’s reinterpretation of the beloved Nickelodeon character.”
Elaborating to HYPEBEAST, Delucca says “We developed techniques specifically for this project, this is the first time we’ve seen graphics applied directly to gold teeth, particularly in such an essentially seamless way.” This crazy, cool piece also comes with a matching silver toothbrush and a custom RIMOWA hand-luggage case. The RIMOWA case features a collage of colorful images, including J Balvin’s logo and other iconic Spongebob Squarepants‘ characters.
