Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are reuniting for a horror comedy movie that’s been in the making for seven decades. The longtime friends and collaborators will star in Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein, which may be a follow-up to their Nickelodeon show, Kenan & Kel. Premiering on Prime Video’s Good Sport, the upcoming film will begin production this summer. Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein slightly refines the classic Abbott and Costello monster series. The plot centers on two delivery drivers who stop at an eerie castle during a routine drop-off. Things take a turn, however, after they accidentally wake up Frankenstein’s monster and have to fend for their lives.
“Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected,” Kenan told The Hollywood Reporter.

“We’re excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it.” Mitchell also told the publication, “Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new. It’s funny, it’s scary, and it’s a great ride.”
Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein will be produced by Kenan, Kel, John Ryan Jr., Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Carter Swan. It’ll be executive produced by Will Hariton, Azim Spicer, and Monica Weber.
Thompson and Mitchell have worked together on movies like Good Burger (1997) and, most recently, joined acting forces for Good Burger 2 (2023).
