Monday night Lana Del Rey shared a video singing her new song Looking For America. The lyrics were inspired from this passed weekends back-to-back mass shootings. In her instagram caption , Lana explained how quickly it all came together with her long time producer, Laura Sisk and collaborator Jack Antonoff.
“ I came back early from Montecito with my brother this morning and asked Jack Antonoffto come into town because I had a song my mind that I wanted to write. I know Im not a politician and Im not trying to be, so excuse me for having an opinion, but in light of all of the mass shootings in the last couple of days which really affected me on a cellular level, I just wanted to post this video that our engineer Laura took 20 mins ago. I hope you like it.”
Lana is dropping a highly anticipated album Aug. 30th called Norman Fucking Rockwell. The Summertime Sadness singer hasn’t released songs since her 2017 album Lust For Life. We can not wait what other surprises Lana Del Rey has in store!
