Apple TV+ just released the first trailer for The Lost Bus. Inspired by Lizzie Johnson’s book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, the film follows Kevin and Mary as they risk everything to get the kids to safety. In the new clip, McConaughey plays Kevin, a school bus driver who hears a call for help: 23 children are trapped at a school and need rescuing. Ferrera plays Mary, a teacher whose class is in danger. The fire is called “the deadliest wildfire in California history.” The plot is based on the true story of a deadly 2018 wildfire in Paradise, California.
The movie also stars Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Spencer Watson. It’s directed by Paul Greengrass and produced by Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Blum, and others.
