A new update about Man of Tomorrow gives fans a better idea of who the movie’s villain might be. The film is a follow-up to James Gunn’s Superman. David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult will reprise their roles as Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. Although nothing has been confirmed, many believe the main villain will be Brainiac. A report from Nexus Point News says the movie will use makeup and prosthetics for the villain, and that the team is looking for an actor with a strong build. This matches Brainiac’s usual look with his green skin and physique.

Some fans also think it could be Mongul, another big DC villain known for his yellow skin and large size.
The movie’s story is still a secret, but James Gunn said on The Howard Stern Show that it will focus on Superman and Lex Luthor working together to face a bigger threat.
“It’s more complicated than that, but that’s a big part of it. It’s as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie,” Gunn explained.
Man of Tomorrow comes to theaters on July 9, 2027 and Superman is now streaming on HBO.
