New Trailer For ‘Toy Story 5’ Drops

The very first Toy Story hit theaters back in November 1995, long before tablets, smartphones, or kids asking what games you had on your iPhone. Now, thirty years later, and the toys are now facing a modern rival: a tablet packed with games. In Toy Story 5, Woody, Buzz, and their friends go head-to-head with today’s tech.

The movie’s first teaser introduces Lilypad: an energetic, frog-shaped tablet that’s about to shake up their whole world. The short, 50-second preview sets up what’s coming when Toy Story 5 arrives in theaters on June 19, 2026.

The trailer begins with a package delivered to Bonnie, the little girl who took over caring for the toys at the end of Toy Story 3 and starred in the fourth movie.

While we wait to see what’s inside, Slinky starts shaking, Rex gets nervous, and Mr. Potato Head even pops out Mrs. Potato Head’s eyes so she won’t have to watch.

Bonnie opens the box, revealing Lilypad. The tablet cheerfully says, “Let’s play,” and the older toys instantly realize they might be in trouble. The teaser even asks, “Is the age of toys over?” Woody and Buzz share a worried moment.

“The toys are back in Toy Story 5, and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang face a new challenge,” the blogline reads. “The kids today love electronics!”

Greta Lee voices Lilypad, and will join Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Joan Cusack (Jessie), and Tony Hale (Forky).
