Music executive Ray Daniels has launched RAYDAR University, a new 13-week program designed to help upcoming artists learn how to build successful careers in the music industry. The program helps artists acquire new skills and tools that’ll help them break into the scene. Not only does the lesson plans focus on music, but it also teaches artists how to understand branding, marketing, promotion, networking, and long-term career strategies.
“This is about giving artists the blueprint I didn’t have,” Daniels said. “Too many talented people miss their moment because they don’t understand the game. We’re not just developing music, we’re developing careers.”
Daniels brings years of skills he’s learned working in the music industry to the program. He previously worked as Vice President of A&R at Epic Records, Interscope Records, and Warner Music Group, where he helped develop talent and worked on projects tied to more than 100 million albums sold worldwide.
RAYDAR University will guide students through every major part of artist development over 13 weeks. The curriculum will center around building an artist identity, finding a unique story and sound, planning music releases, promoting songs, digital marketing, public relations, networking, content creation, and social media strategy.
The program ends with the Flight to Fame Showcase, where students will present what they’ve learned in front of industry professionals.
Graduates will leave with a release strategy, stronger media presence, and access to Daniels’ professional network.
The enrollment is limited to 35 students to keep the program hands-on and interactive. The available spots include five in-person seats, ten hybrid seats, and twenty virtual seats.
Registration for RAYDAR University is now open. Artists who are interested in applying can visit raydaruniversity.com for more information.
