Poker Face writers and sisters Lilla and Nora Zuckerman are working on Scream 8 following the success of Scream 7. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Kevin Williamson-directed movie series is currently in development at Spyglass. The Zuckerman siblings are known for their work in Peacock’s Poker Face, starring Natasha Lyonne. Shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Suits, Fringe, and Prodigal Son, on the other hand, see them taking the writer and executive producer role.
Following its global release in theaters, Scream 7 earned more than $200 million at the box office. The story follows Sidney Prescott as a new Ghostface killer appears in the quiet town where she has started a new life. When her daughter becomes the killer’s next target, Sidney must face her past once again to protect her family and stop the violence for good.

Scream 7 stars Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, who both return to the franchise. The cast also includes Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, McKenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Joel McHale, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.
The film is directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, who co-wrote the script with Guy Busick. It is produced by William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein.
The movie also brought back surprise returning characters, played by Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley, and David Arquette, despite their characters having previously died in earlier Scream films.
