The filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially kicked off in Glasgow, Scotland. At the moment, it’s being transformed to mimic New York City’s aesthetic, including American flags across its architecture.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film finds Tom Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also expected to return, and Sadie Sink has joined the cast for this new chapter.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which earned over $1.9 billion at the global box office. Filming will continue in Glasgow through mid-August. With a strong cast and fresh setting, the movie is shaping up to be an exciting next step in the Spider-Man series.
