A new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse spin-off is officially in the works.
According to Deadline, a movie centered on Daniel Kaluuya’s Spider-Punk, who made his debut in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is now in early development. Kaluuya will co-write the film with Ajon Singh. Plot details remain under wraps, and no additional casting or character appearances from the previous films have been confirmed.

Spider-Punk, also known as Hobie Brown, was created by Dan Slott and Olivier Coipel. He first appeared in 2015’s The Amazing Spider-Man #10 and hails from Earth-138. A rebellious anarchist with a punk rock edge, Hobie uses his electric guitar and anti-establishment attitude to fight against corrupt systems and authoritarian regimes.
With the project still in its early stages, no release date has been announced. It’s likely to premiere sometime after Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse hits theaters.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will continue the story from Across the Spider-Verse, where Miles Morales finds himself stranded on Earth-42, confronting a darker version of himself who has become the Prowler. Shameik Moore returns as Miles, alongside Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen Stacy), Jason Schwartzman (The Spot), and Karan Soni (Spider-Man India).
Sony Pictures Animation launched its Spider-Verse franchise in 2018 with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, followed by Across the Spider-Verse in 2023.
