Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow star Milly Alcock has joined the cast list of pop star Charli xcx’s horror film Untitled Kyoto Project. Although her role is unknown, it’s said that she’ll be acting alongside Sho Kasamatsu (Tokyo Vice), Kiko Mizuhara (Ride or Die), and Norman Reedus. The plot focuses on three friends whose trip turns into a disaster after Charli’s character becomes possessed by an evil spirit. Charli is not only starring in the movie, but she’s also producing it with Japanese horror director Takashi Miike, best known for films such as Audition and Ichi the Killer.
This isn’t Charli’s first rodeo in the film industry. More recently, the musician received praise during Sundance for The Moment. A24 also announced that it was the studio’s fastest-selling limited release to date. The Moment, produced by Charli’s Studio365, is heading to the European Film Market in Berlin, with The Veterans. CAA Media Finance is handling the sales.

The Moment, a mockumentary directed by Aidan Zamiri, finds Charli playing a different version of herself. She’s previously had roles in Erupcja, 100 Nights of Hero, Sacrifice, and Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex.
